I eventually moved to Buffalo, New York after high school to start a pre-med program at the University at Buffalo in hopes of eventually becoming a Chiropractor. When I met Todd, I was intrigued that he would dress up like a tree and go sit in the woods and try to shoot an animal with his “bow‘n‘arrow.” One day, I asked him if I could go turkey hunting with him; initially he was confused but said I absolutely could go IF: I could sit still and be quiet for half a day. That first hunting video I made with Todd is priceless, we didn‘t see any turkey but it was a great experience that brought us even closer together. We still go back and watch it occasionally and laugh uncontrollably.
Lucky for me, Todd followed me all over the country when I was trying to find which Chiropractic college was right for me. When we visited Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa we both knew it was the perfect fit. At times I feel that we didn’t choose Iowa so much as Iowa chose us. We’re truly blessed to be together and share so many great memories together. I love capturing moments on film to share with our friends and family back home. Moments like that are what make life so worth living; sharing with loved ones and being in the outdoors really allows one to recognize what is important in life. It’s so easy to get caught up in everyday life, sometimes being a “bump on a log” out in the woods is just what a girl needs.
